As a leading education institute, GIT has originated from the Sri Sri Phulbari Satra, Nagaon on the initiation of Late Runu Jyoti Goswami and Late Sanjib Goswami. The GIT was established in the year 1999 with a limited infrastructure but within a few years of academic excellence and with the contributions of its teachers presently it is finding solutions to local and global challenges.
